Unconditional Truth
It’s often that you see poor people wondering on the street. You see, and turn your head and look the other way, why is it that we can’t face the facts and help them out? What makes us so evil and turn away, not reach out and help one in need? Maybe a dollar is not a lot to us put what about them? As I visitied Vietnam that was something I always wanted to refect more time on, though due to my unability and economical status I was not able to do much . Though I’ve always wonder, why is it that we don’t feel bad, yet even sometimes frown upon people whom need money? Yes, as an asain we are built to think that we should never be involved in others business yet, why? Why do we look away and not reach out? Why not give a chance and give them something, nothing big but small is alright. Little girls all over my hometown work from day to night, many my age, and maybe younger. Their face tan and brown, even times red from sunburn, with wrinkles and eyebags of a middle aged woman. I wonder how horrible could life be at home, that has them standing in the 100 degree weather selling lottery tickets. Every passenger they sell a day, how much could the possibly make? Things like lottery tickets in vietnam are cheap maybe just about 5 cents or even less, yet once you make eye contact you can’t help but notice their eyes, hopeful yet their faces tell so much more. I wish we could learn to know how to fight the evil and help, maybe if you don’t have a lot give a little. A child does not simply go around begging for food because they don’t have some, but they need it, they are not able to afford, why not help? If one person can atleast give him/her 10 cents not a lot, but if 10 people were able do that, that’s a dollar. A dollar to us may mean little, yet think of a person whom needs that dollar to by their daily meal. There’s so many small things we can do to help, yet once one is upon us how could we just simply turn our head away…
